Onomichi is the entrance to the famous cycling road Shimanami Kaido.
Shinkai, which is just a few minutes by foot from JR Onomichi station, served as an entertainment district to this port town.
A Japanese-style bar called “snack”, which is becoming obsolete within the country, is still popular amongst locals in this area.
