Stop At: Oyatsu-to-Yamaneko, 3-1 Higashigoshocho, Onomichi, Hiroshima 722-0036, Japan

Oyatsu to Yamaneko: A cute shop famous for its take-out pudding. It’s been featured on TV and in magazines, and when young women talk about Onomichi, the pudding is at the top of the list. It is that famous! The thick creamy pudding is in a small bottle which will make you want to take photos♪

Stop At: Miyachi, 1-chōme-6-22 Tsuchidō, Onomichi, Hiroshima 722-0035, Japan

Miyachi ramen: There are tones of ramen shops in Onomichi, and many people from all over Japan come to eat Onomichi ramen! Miyachi, opened 70 years ago, is one of the hidden ramen restaurants recommended by locals. Enjoy cheap and delicious ramen!

Stop At: Senkoji Park Observatory, 20-2 Higashitsuchidōchō, Onomichi, Hiroshima 722-0033, Japan

Observatory Deck: The fabulous view, found only in the Seto Inland Sea, of many islands floating in the calm ocean making them look like mountains! Your breath will be taken away while looking at the scenery: Onomichi bridge, ocean-going ships, and houses on the hills.

Stop At: Senkoji & Senkoji Park, 15-1 Higashitsuchidocho, Onomichi 722-0033 Hiroshima Prefecture

Senkoji Temple: Let’s climb up the staircase and head to the temple at the top of the mountain! You will enjoy looking at various sites, such as the Red Hall and Tuzumi rock (a rock which makes a sound of a drum when it is hit), and learning an unusual method of worshipping. It is a popular spot for visitors to Onomichi.

Stop At: Neko no Hosomichi, Higashitsuchidocho, Onomichi 722-0033 Hiroshima Prefecture

Neko no Hosomichi: A narrow path that has many cat-motif ornaments! How many can you find? There are also many shops selling miscellaneous cat items.

Stop At: Saikokuji Temple, 29-27 Nishikubocho, Onomichi 722-0044 Hiroshima Prefecture

Saikokuji Temple: A temple dedicated to the guardian of strong legs as shown in the symbol of big straw slippers at the Niomon Gate.
People visit this temple to pray for healthy legs; therefore, offer a straw slipper, and your feet will take you anywhere you would like to go!

Stop At: Jodoji, 20-28 Higashikubocho, Onomichi, Hiroshima 722-0043, Japan

Jodoji Temple: After going past the beautiful view on the Sunset Path, you will arrive at the gorgeous red main hall. Don’t forget to look at the Two-Storied Multi-treasure Pagoda which is one of Japan’s top 3 pagodas and a national treasure.
