Stop At: Akiu Traditional Craft Village, Uehara-54-20 Akiumachi Yumoto, Taihaku Ward, Sendai, Miyagi 982-0241, Japan
Located close to Akiu onsen, this is where the craftsmen making traditional crafts of Miyagi gather. Of course you can both buy and experience various crafts. We recommend espeically the painting of wooden dolls, “kokeshi.”

Stop At: すずめのお宿, Akiumachi Yumukai, Taihaku Ward, Sendai, Miyagi 982-0245, Japan
Teuchi (Handmade) Soba Suzume no oyado: Eat thick buchwheat noodles made from Yamagata buckwheat flour. Hand-made mori soba has a very fine texture, it leaves you wanting more. Eating this with locally grown radish is delicious!

This winery was established in 2015. Experience wine tasting while watching the beautiful winery. Delicious ice cream is also sold here.

A famous hotel of Akiu with a hot spring facility. There are 6 open-air baths in a beautiful Japanese garden. This wil sure give you a sense of openess and refreshes your mind and body.

A valley lined with stones, eroded by the Natori River flowing into Miyagi prefecture. The valley is 650m in length 20m in depth. Feel the power of nature as the rock towers high.
