Oyatsu to Yamaneko: A cute shop famous for its take-out pudding. It’s been featured on TV and in magazines, and when young women talk about Onomichi, the pudding is at the top of the list. It is that famous! The thick creamy pudding is in a small bottle which will make you want to take photos♪

Stop At: Onomichi Port Terminal, 9-1 Higashigoshochō, Onomichi, Hiroshima 722-0036, Japan
Setouchi Cruising: Let’s head to Ikuchishima’s Setoda port from our meeting point, Onomichi! We will take a rapid ferry through the calm Seto Inland Sea.
Get prepared to visit the island while feeling the ocean wind.

Shiomachi Shopping District: A shopping district with traditional small shops with a nostalgic feeling. Many products are using Ikuchishma’s specialties, “lemon” and “octopus”, so it should be interesting just looking at some of the rare food. You cannot miss out on the walk while eating the famous granny’s croquette and a huge roasted chicken!

Kousanji: Ikuchishima is about this shrine! Within the solemn precincts are a waterfall, paintings of hell, and statues of god.
Once you walk through the exciting cave and arrive at the top of the mountain, you will be in “Italy”!? In front of you will be modern art surrounded by white marble and the ocean!

Dolce Setoda: A popular gelato specialty shop regardless of the season. We recommend the gelato made with Setoda’s lemon and mandarin! Let’s take a short break with some sweets♪

Stop At: Hirayama Ikuo Museum of Art, 200-2 Setodacho Sawa, Onomichi 722-2413 Hiroshima Prefecture
Ikuo Hirayama Museum of Art: A museum located in Setoda which is where the Japanese painter Ikuo Hirayama was from. You can see how he developed his talent during his childhood.
It is also a wonderful museum where you can learn Hiroshima’s history, Buddhism and its connection to the world.

Island’s restaurant Sayo: You can enjoy Setoda’s famous octopus rice and lemon ramen at a reasonable price. Let’s enjoy a meal made with freshly caught and picked produce, only found here. Experience a Japanese way of ordering lunch by buying a ticket before your meal.

Setodacho Tourist Information Center: Let’s rent a bike and go off to look at the beautiful island’s ocean! There is plenty of artwork on the island which we can find as we travel by bike.

Stop At: Setoda Sunset Beach, 1506-15 Setodacho Tarumi, Onomichi 722-2404 Hiroshima Prefecture
Setoda Sunset Beach: As you can imagine by the name, it is a beach that has a gorgeous sunset! The scenery along the ocean is, of course, beautiful but the view will trick you into thinking that you have come to the Southern Islands.

Stop At: Kojoji Temple, 57 Setoda, Setodacho, Onomichi 722-2411 Hiroshima Prefecture
Kojoji Temple: The national treasure of a three-storied pagoda was built at the top of the mountain. Although it is a national treasure, it has a somewhat lonely atmosphere because it blends into the island’s scenery which is also another good point of this temple. Take a deep breath and take your time refreshing.
