Itinerary

Kyudo is Japan’s leading martial arts that trains the mind and body by hitting arrows with a bow based on a fixed manner and shooting method. In archery, the distance from the shooting position of the arrow is 28 m since ancient times. Therefore, in practice, first of all, in order to learn the basic movement of the shooting method, you will learn the feeling of pulling the actual bow through “rubber bow practice” using rubber as a bow string and practice pulling the bow. On top of that, you will feel the sensation of shooting an arrow in the “rolling straw practice” where you shoot an arrow from a short distance toward a practice target wound straw (makiwara) wound with straw. It is difficult for a beginner to suddenly stand in front and shoot an arrow at a distance of 28m in a half-day or one-day experience. Therefore, in this plan, you will visit archery halls, bows, practice scenery, etc., which are rarely seen, and actually experience “rubber bow practice” and “maki straw practice”. If you wish, you can wear top coat and hakama archery. It is a plan to know the high goals and beauty that Japanese archery aims for.
