After a tour of Hinode-sanso, you will take off your shoes at Seiundo, sit in the tatami room, and have matcha and Japanese sweets. 1. Hinode-sanso – The tour of the memorial hall 20 min
It is said to be the first time that a Japanese prime minister had a friendly meeting with a president of a foreign country. You can see the photos in the exhibition, showing how the Prime Minister spent time with world leaders in the hall. Go inside the same room which Prime Minister Nakasone used at that time.
2. Have matcha at Seiundo 40 min
You can enjoy matcha with Japanese sweets in the exact room where Prime Minister Nakasone entertained Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Reagan. The former prime minister made tea by himself for the president and the first lady when they arrived at Hinode-sanso.
