Stop At: Hakata Sennen no Mon, 1-29, Hakataekimae, Hakata, Fukuoka Fukuoka Prefecture

You will start your tour here at the gate that leads you to the area with many temples and shrines in Hakata. It is a gate with beautiful ornaments made in 2014. Going through the gate, a stone pavement will take you to the tour to explore the Japanese food culture!

A temple which is said to be the original place of dumpling and noodles which are essential to Japanese food. The beautiful garden is worth taking a look!

Stop At: Shofuku-ji Temple, 6-1 Gokushomachi, Hakata, Fukuoka 812-0037 Fukuoka Prefecture

A temple where “sencha”: green tea is originated from. There is a monument that says it is the original place of sencha in its premise and there is also an old fence with history. The premise is very beautiful and it feels like you are in a forest!

A traditional tea shop with a history of longer than 300 years. The sencha served by the clerks is no like others! Especially the taste and the flavor is richer than any other sencha.
