Black Gate: Take on the role of a monk and start your Mt.Yoshino experience!

Next stop is the Torii of Kinpusen Temple. The monk goes through this Torii, saying he will prepare to get away from the “real” world and enter the world of training.

The main mountain for Shugendo (Japanese mountain aesticim incorporating Buddhist concepts)! It is well known for its large Buddha statue in the open nature. If you are lucky you maybe able to see a monk training!

A temple located 455 stairs down from Kinpusen Temple. The stone steps and torii are surrounded by forests, and a mysterious looking mossy Jizo. Let’s descend halfway to take a look!

Let’s take a lunch break at a traditional Japanese tofu restaurant. From here we will take the bus to the top of the mountain and hike down whilst stopping by at the observation deck and temples. Let’s experience the path of the monk!

Get off the bus and hike to the Yoshino Mikurami Temple, surrounded by forests. The grounds have nearly 500 years of history. Get a feel of a very shinto temple.
