Stop At: Mikasa Park, 82 Inaoka, Yokosuka 238-0003 Kanagawa Prefecture

Mikasa Park: This park is home to authentic battleships built during the Russia-Japanese War in the 20th century.
At the red brick Mikasa Terminal, you can buy souvenirs related to Sarushima and Yokosuka. Take a boat from Mikasa Pier and head to Sarushima.

Sarushima Pier: It takes about 10 minutes from the departure of the ship to reach the island.
The Sarushima Pier is the only pier on the island where boats arrive and depart, with beautiful white sandy beaches all around.
Once you pass through the gate, it’s time to start your adventure on Sarushima, the only uninhabited island in Tokyo!

The remains of a fortress: The starting point of the historical walk is a passage once used by the Japanese military. The remains of the facility, which was used as a military fortification during the war, are still in place and provide an austere atmosphere. Also, don’t miss the landscape with plants covering an entire brick wall.

Brick Tunnel: Known as the “Tunnel of Love”, which is the oldest brick structure in Japan. The tunnel has 2 floors that are used as the old military headquarters and explosives depot. Don’t forget to take a picture of it as it’s a popular photogenic spot.
