  • The Zenkoji Temple Special Experience with Nagano Wine Premium Dinner featuring “The Drops of God” is hosted by the Nagano “The Drops of God” Project Executive Committee.
  • A round-trip Shinkansen ticket for Tokyo or Nagano route is included for tours originating in Tokyo. Please plan your travel time accordingly to ensure timely arrival.
  • Expect snow in Nagano, so wear comfortable, waterproof shoes with non-slip soles.
  • You may need to remove your shoes in the Centennial Hall and other buildings, so please wear comfortable footwear.
  • In January, Nagano’s average temperature ranges from -3°C (26.5°F) to 3°C (37.4°F). Bring warm clothing; there is no formal dress code.
  • If you need wheelchair access or additional assistance, please contact us in advance, and we will do our best to accommodate you.
  • You will be assigned to a Shukubo near Zenkoji, and we will assist with your check-in on the day of your stay. Please note that these temple lodges typically do not have keys or locks for guest rooms, and facilities are shared. You can expect to sleep in a traditional Japanese room with tatami mats and futons instead of beds.
  • For the Snow Monkeys Tour on Day 2: The walk from the parking area to Jigokudani Yaen-koen takes over 30 minutes. Dress warmly and wear non-slip shoes, as the trail may be snow-covered and slippery.
  • Keep in mind that the monkeys in Jigokudani are wild and may not be present during your visit. Avoid approaching or staring at them, as this could be interpreted as a challenge. The monkeys do not spend most of their time in the water.
  • For the Matsumoto Tour on Day 2: Matsumoto Castle, one of Japan’s oldest preserved castles, is a significant cultural heritage site. You will need to remove your shoes upon entering to help protect its structure.
  • Be prepared for steep stairs, low ceilings, and narrow corridors due to the castle’s age.
