This is a unique opportunity to visit the home of a local and explore traditional culture and cuisine. Hideki lives in a small studio apartment in the city, which would seem tiny in most countries but is common in Tokyo. It is simply decorated, and he has kept it neat and clean. During your 2.5 hours ramen class learn to make the broth, dumplings and toppings. Please note that the kitchen is really small with only 2 induction hobs and Hideki will use a separate portable gas stove, placed on the dining table to fry the gyozas. After you finish cooking, join Hideki at the dining table to share the soy sauce ramen and gyoza dumplings, you helped prepare.

Sample Menu

• Soy sauce ramen – the ramen is made with fish and chicken bones
• Gyoza dumplings
