Itinerary

What to bring
◆ 1 rectangular cloth at least 60cm in length (dish cloths, blankets and towels are fine to use)

What is furoshiki:
Made famous internationally by clean queen Marie Kondo, furoshiki are a type of wrapping cloth traditionally used to transport clothes, gifts, or other goods. Both beautiful and practical, they have been present in Japanese culture for hundreds of years and are making a well-deserved comeback due to their eco-friendly designs.

The program:
In this online experience, you will be taught how to make furoshiki creations by our nationally-licensed instructors. In the first half of the program, you will learn the basic knots and techniques to furoshiki wrapping. You will then be able to try your hand at some of the more complex methods, including bag making, bottle wrapping, and present wrapping.

How to participate:
This program will take place over video call on Zoom. You can download Zoom for free. Once you have booked the experience, we will send you a link and more information.

If you would like to participate in the activity (ask any questions, show your designs, etc.) you will need your own webcam and microphone.
