In this evening/night tour, we will explore what Shinjuku has to offer, learn the roles shrines have in the Shinjuku area, examine the largest red light district kabukicho and what it has to offer, and experience the basics of Japanese cuisine; sake, shochu and sours, using the Izakayas drinking/eating places that we will visit in this tour.
Our goal is to pack as much as we can in the limited time you have – from old to new. You will need to walk the streets with a seasoned certified guide, not young inexperienced guides. Again, 3 to 4 hours may not be enough – talk to the guide and extend if needed.

You will be entering the kabukicho district by passing thru the iconic kabukicho gates, seeing Godzilla and the theatre area.
You will be seeing Godzilla and other iconic figures in the Kabukicho area with the experienced guide.
SUSHI DINNER!! In a fine Japanese eatery, you will have your FIRST DINNER; SUSHI. You will choose from Modern EDO SUSHI or the SUSHI of the past. If you are a vegan, you will given a vegan set.
This will be your “first” dinner together with one drink that will accompany that dinner.
We will cleanse ourselves from what the red lights district had to offer by visiting a local shrine and learn then rudiments of Shintoism.
THE DARK SIDE OF KABUKICHO.
We will commit to exploring the deep and darker side of the kabukicho district – yakuza land – a walk through shady parts of Kabukicho central and the observe the lust associated to it.
EITHER JAPANESE SAKE TASTING EXPERIENCE.
We will explore the four tastes of sake at a DIY sake bar. You will have a view and be tasting and comparing the diverse tastes to your Pallette
EITHER A COOL BAR IN the GOLDEN GAI.
Getting reservations in the golden fai is difficult.
We will drop by a bar hopping space and learn the historical aspect of this area and learn how this became to be.
Whiskey, beer and soft drinks will be available.
BACK TO YOUR HOTELS OR MORE. We will either take you to a taxi space, the subway in Shinjuku3 or the JR SHINJUKU station so that you will not get lost in the abyss, Shinjuku station.
We can visit the ENTERTAINMENT AREA where we have the Japanese standup comedy or the LGBT area before we drop the group off. This will be optional and tips will be expected.
