Discover serenity and tradition in a thousand-year-old Shinto shrine nestled in the picturesque landscape of the Kumotori Sacred Mountains. Please note that the shrine is located at an altitude of 1000 m above sea level and the road to reach it can be winding.

Visit Bamba Street, the Chichibu Shrine, and a local sake brewery shop in the small but charming downtown area of Chichibu! Here you will have time to sample local cuisine at the restaurants scattered around the train station. From the local Chichibu miso pork rice bowl to soba noodles and more, Chichibu offers delicious regional cuisine! (Food is at your own expense)

Enjoy a relaxing and sometimes exhilarating River Cruise through the cobblestone streets of the Arakawa River in Nagatoro, which has been designated a special natural heritage site by the Japanese government.

Finally, we will make a quick stop at a “michi-no-eki”, a popular rest stop for refreshments or to buy souvenirs and specialities only available locally in the Chichibu area.

• The road to Mitsumine Shrine, which is 1000 meters above sea level, has many curves, so if you usually suffer from car sickness, please bring your medicine.
• Please note that no refunds will be given for weather-related complaints or changes in the tour schedule made by the tour guide or any of our staff.
• The river cruise on the Arakawa River is generally gentle, but occasionally you may get partially wet, so we recommend bringing a waterproof jacket.
• You will be asked to wear a safety vest on board the boat. If you refuse to do so, you will be asked not to participate in the cruise and your ticket will not be refunded.
• Children under 60 cm (1.7 ft) in height are not allowed on board.
• If the minimum number of participants (20) is not reached, the tour will not take place and you will be offered another activity or a full refund.
• Children under the age of 4 travel free, but do not receive a seat on the bus. If a seat is required, please book at the adult rate.
• Please arrive at the meeting spot in time.
• As required by Japanese law, please wear a seat belt on the bus.
• Please note that the arrival location of the tour cannot be changed.
• Please wear comfortable shoes and very warm clothes, as it may be cold in the mountains.
