A huge “Manekineko” statue that watches over the area; it has become the city’s symbol due to its head, which is larger than a human being. Get close and take photos!

Stop At: Kaisendonya Shipping Agency Takita Family Residence, 4-75, Sakaecho, Tokoname Aichi Prefecture
You can walk inside and learn the history of the house built during Tokoname’s prosperous era when ships were used to transport cargo.

Stop At: Dokanzaka, 4 Sakaemachi, Tokoname 479-0836 Aichi Prefecture
A place is full of Tokoname’s pottery where you will find Tokoname-yaki (Tokoname ware) pipes buried in the road and along both walls! Take photos of this scenery covered with clay pipes, because you will only find it here.

Eight large kilns used to bake pottery until 1974. You will also notice 10 chimneys, a unique feature, indicating the large production of pottery at that time.
