Kamakura is the home of the first Samurai Government so its history goes back 800 years. We will first see a panoramic view of Enoshima/Mount Fuji and take a quick stroll near where the basketball anime SLAM DUNK was staged. (Tokyo/Shinjuku starter only) Then, we will revert to Kamakura station to pick up anyone starting from Kamakura station. We will visit the TEMPLES BUILT INSIDE CAVES and see a smaller version of Fushimi Inari; the beauty of ROWS OF TORII gates. We will proceed to see the GREAT BUDDHA and visit the flower Temple HASEDERA SHRINE housing the massive WOODEN STATUE of the Kannon. A veggie LUNCH reserved for MONKS will be appreciated here at the same location. We will pass thru KENCHOJI temple and see the oldest ZEN temple in Kamakura, pay tribute to TSURUOKA HACHIMAN, a shrine dedicated to the Minamoto clan & the samurai spirit. Try finger food in KOMACHI DORI & go to THE BAMBOO temple & call it a day. Also good for those traveling TO TOKYO. UP TO 4-5 suitcases.
