This is a simple physical activity which may help you free your mind by hiking around the village and surrounding forests. You will experience rural Japanese countryside landscapes and may meet local people on the walk. A real monk will guide you and share some stories from local history, of Shugendo and Buddhism, and perhaps even help you attain enlightenment yourself. The activity offers a chance to escape from your regular life and an opportunity for self reflection. A Japanese style vegan lunch box is included! Attention; -As the monk is still in active service, your booking may not be accepted due to work as the monk. Please wait for confirmation from us. -If the tour is cancelled due to bad weather, we will contact you at least 2 days before the tour. -Cancellations from guest side, please notify at least two days in advance; after 2 days, we may charge you cost of packed lunch. 24 hrs in advance, a full cancellation fee will be charged.
