Sumida City Trip Overview
This is a rare chance to watch grand sumo tournament with small group of maximum 6 with real-time commentaries by a sumo expert guide.
After booking, you will receive online materials to get better prepared. Before the tour starts, the guide will have a refresher session. Then, s/he will guide you through the tournament venue. Looking at each memorabilia with the guide’s explanation at the sumo museum will deepen your hands-on knowledge of sumo. You will sit in chair seats on the second floor of the venue. You will be seated either in seat A or seat B depending on which option you chose; seat A is closer to the ring than seat B.
You will be seated around 15:30. Below is what you will watch.
15:40 – Ring entering ceremony by Makuuchi (top division) wrestlers
15:55 – Ring entering ceremony by Yokozuna, grand champion(s)
17:55 – Final bout of the day
