Shinjuku City Trip Overview

You will meet your guide at Shinjuku Station and ride the train together: you will reach Kamakura with the popular Enoden train line along the coast, with a day pass that you will be able to use again after the end of the tour!

You will visit Hase-dera , also known as the temple of flowers: here you will explore a gorgeous garden, caves, Buddhist halls and a panoramic terrace on the bay.

You will then move on to the city symbol, the Great Buddha of the Kotoku-in Temple: you will remain speechless standing in front of this majestic statue and will have enough time to behold all its details!

This temple hosts the second largest Buddha statue of Japan, which survived storms and tidal waves during its history. The statue is the true symbol of Kamakura city and a must see spot during your time in Japan.

The street connecting Kamakura Station to Tsurugaoka Hachiman Shrine, characterized by the presence of many shops and restaurants with a vibrant atmosphere.

Stop At: VASARA Kimono Rental Kamakura Store, Japan, 〒248-0006 Kanagawa, Kamakura, Komachi, 2-chōme−8−７ すみのプラザ 2階

If you choose an option including the rental of Kimono, you will be introdiced to Vasara, the best Kimono rental shop in the area.
Rent a real kimono and explore Kamakura freely at the end of the tour while wearing traditional clothing.

Dressing takes 30 minutes. Please return the Kimono within 17:30.

If you choose one of the options including a rickshaw ride, you will be introduced to Ebisuya, a rickshaw garage in Kamakura!
You will experience a 12 minutes ride on a real rickshaw along the streets of Kamakura.

If you choose the surfing school option, you will be introduced to Holiday Surf, where you will learn how to ride the waves of one of Japan’s best surfing locations!

Please reach Holiday Surf individually at the end of the tour.
