We will be meeting in my cooking studio in a residential area of Shibuya. Let’s have tea first (not sake yet!) and get to know others before we start cooking. Everyone gets aprons and I will start explaining about soup stock that I prepare before guests arrive. We will chop vegetables for gyoza fillings. In this part, guests can practice their knife skills and also they can experience Japanese made handcrafted sharp knives. We’ll be making fresh ramen noodle in this class, we learn how to combine and knead a dough. Cooking class includes seasoning tastings so that my guests can learn authentic seasoning flavors, some of them are handmade. Most of dishes, I will show you a short demo first, them guests will make their own dish. Some other dishes are we work together. I will serve you fruity sake with meal. My ramen broth is chicken base with miso. Garnish with ramen tamago (egg), and BUTTER! And, gyoza making is a good skill to learn. Crispy thin skins are just delicious! Perfect to cook for a party. All are just tasty unforgettable dishes you will make again and again in your kitchen!
