Shikisai-no-Oka is in Biei-cho, a scenic town on a hill. Here, a 7-hectare hill is carpeted with flowers from April to October. You can enjoy colors and fragrance of several dozen different flowers such as tulip, lupine, lavender, salvia, sunflower, dahlia and Japanese anemone according to the season.You can enjoy riding a tractor bus named “Shikisai Norokko” going round the hill for leisurely time, “Buggy” and “Cart”.

Blue pond is a very popular sightseeing spot recently, fascinated people with its blue color. The color is from an interplay of sunrays with minerals in the water. Its blue color is changeable, and it depends on the weather of the last 3 days. This pond was made 20 years ago to protect Biei town from volcanic eruptions and landslides or flows from Mt.Tokachi.
