Akiyoshidai is home to the largest karst plateau in Japan. The terrain was created over a duration of 300 million years and has a myriad of underground caves. Experience Kagekiyo Cave, where you can explore the cave safely. It is said that samurais who lost in the Battle of Samurais – a battle that changed the history of Japan – hid in the caves and healed their wounds there in the twelfth century. Make sure to drop by Akiyoshidai and Akiyoshi Cave, Japan’s largest limestone cave, together with this plan.
