Itinerary
The Setouchi Islands are now world-famous, ranking 7th in the New York Times’ ”Top Japan Travel Destinations for 2019.” At this factory, surrounded by beautiful the landscape of Setouchi Islands, enjoy a pottery experience like no other. With instruction from a local pottery artist from Mihara-city, you will make traditional Japanese-style tableware, such as cups or small plates. Your instructor will support you in making your own original pottery and will also teach you how to express Setouchi Island’s nature through your work. There is a kids area in this factory, and we also offer tour options(free) that are very easy for small kids to participate in, such as decorating with stamps, so adults and small children may join in on the fun! You will discover the result of your work one or two months after, sent directly to your house after drying and firing.
