What makes Kyoto Cherry Blossom with Miyako Odori 1 Day Walking Tour a unique experience ?
Meet your guide at Kyoto Station – Hachijo Exit Tourist Bus Parking Area (In Front of KYOTO AVANTI) We will take Kyoto subway from Kyoto station to Keage station, it takes around 17 minutes and walk to Keage Incline.
Keage Incline, a 582-meter former ship transportation railway in Kyoto, now offers visitors the chance to explore its abandoned tracks. Renowned as one of Kyoto’s most photogenic spots, the retro train tracks add to its allure.
You will spend time at Keage Incline for 20 minutes and walk to Nanzenji Temple for around 10 minutes.
Nanzenji Temple, a designated Important Cultural Property in Japan, features key attractions like the symbolic Sanmon Gate, the Zen-inspired Hojo, and the nostalgic Suijikaku Aqueduct. Cherry blossoms bloom around the Sanmon gate, providing a scenic view of Kyoto throughout the temple grounds.
You will spend 70 minutes at Nanzenji Temple and 20 minutes walk to Eikando.
Discover Kyoto’s hidden gems, where cherry blossoms bloom along the path from Nanzenji Temple to Eikando Hall. Somei Yoshino cherry trees adorn the main gate, middle gate, Pagoda surroundings, and the garden within Eikando.
After visiting Eikando, we will go to Keage station and transfer to Sanjyo station by Keihan line.

Yasaka Shrine, home to the famous “Weeping Cherry of Gion,” offers a variety of cherry blossoms, including the weeping cherry, Somei Yoshino, and Mountain cherry. The main hall is adorned with red lanterns dedicated by Gion geisha. Food stalls inside make it a popular spot among locals.
You will spend 40 minutes at Yasaka Shrine and 35 minutes walk to Gion district.
Gion, Kyoto’s famous geisha district, allures tourists with its traditional wooden machiya houses, exuding a charming historical atmosphere and strong ties to Japanese art.
The Miyako Odori is a gei-maiko dance performance held in Kyoto in April. This is a rare opportunity to see gei-maiko that you would not normally see. Each performance consists of approximately eight scenes, each depicting an aspect of Japanese life, especially that of Kyoto and the geisha quarter.
Tea ceremony is performed with guests seated on chairs at tables to have the opportunity to enjoy tea along with the graceful movements of geiko and maiko.
