- There is a difference in the order of visits between the [11:50 Meet-up] and [14:45 Meet-up] tours. In the [11:50 Meet-up] tours, we will take you to Gion Kagai Art Museum first, followed by Teahouse in Gion. In contrast, for the [14:45 Meet-up] tours, we will take you to Teahouse in Gion first, and then proceed to Gion Kagai Art Museum.
- During the teahouse experience, customers will be accompanied by either a maiko or geiko along with a tea master depending on the day. Maiko and geiko cannot be selected.
- If the Gion Kagai Art Museum is closed without prior notice, there will be extra time to stroll around Gion, and the guide will give explanations about Gion’s history, culture, and customs. Furthermore, the admission fee will be refunded by the guide (JPY 1,500/Adult, JPY 700/Child).
- Children 0-5 years old cannot join the tour.
- Please be sure to wear socks. If your feet, clothes, or bag are wet such as on rainy days, please wipe the water off with a towel, etc. before entering the teahouse. Please kindly cooperate in keeping tatami spaces clean.
- Parental permission in writing is necessary for all tour participants under the age of eighteen. Any participant under the age of fifteen or not yet enrolled in middle school must be joined by a parent or guardian on the tour.
