I have been learning traditional Calligraphy, but also make my own Calligraphy art. You will get to know both basic and artistic parts of Calligraphy from my workshop.

What to Expect When Visiting Kyoto, Kyoto, Japan

Itinerary
Here is my workshop detail.
1. Explain what Japanese calligraphy is.
— This is to give you some information of calligraphy in order to get deeper understanding of calligraphy and Japanese writing system.
2. Pick your favorite Kanji (Chinese character).
— I will prepare a list of characters with meanings, so please pick your favorite Kanji character.
3. Practice time.
— I will make a sample of your Kanji to give you an idea how to write and show you the stroke orders. I will give you advise as we go.
You will use the ink stone and ink stick to make sumi ink.
4. Create final work!
— You can bring back the final work as souvenir.
