Let’s visit the first port town of the tour! Mojiko is a port with a tasteful atmosphere supported by the retro buildings. Even the station is a retro building! There are also many spots to visit in the station so let’s visit them with your otomo guide!

Stop At: Mojiko Retro, 7-18 Minatomachi, Mojiku, Kitakyushu 801-0852 Fukuoka Prefecture
You will rent your bicycle here! Your tour to cross Kanmon Strait has started!
Duration: 10 minutes
Stop At: Norfolk Plaza, 2 Kyumoji Moji-ku, Kitakyushu 801-0854 Fukuoka Prefecture
Let’s cycle along the shore. Even it is too far to walk, you have your bicycle on this tour! You will see a view of a serene port from this spot. Cycle up the hill and visit an observatory where you will have a spectacular view!

After cycling a mountain road, you will have a breathtaking view of Kanmon Strait! Let’s have a break and enjoy the view of it!

Cross the ocean on foot! You won’t walk on the ocean but walk through a tunnel in the ocean! You might have a strange feeling since there is the ocean outside the wall of the tunnel!

Now you are at the Shimonoseki side. There were many historic events at Kanmon Straits since it faces the ocean. Learn about the historical event: Battle of Dannnoura from your otomo guide!

A fish market opened once a week. If you are lucky enough to pick the opened day, you will able to eat fresh seafood! Don’t be sad even if it is not opened since you will have seafood at the next spot!

Kamon Wharf: A facility with many shops and restaurants! Let’s take a break and watch the ocean. Try “kawara-soba”, a local iconic noodle made from buckwheat flour! They also have fresh seafood!

You can board a ferry boat with your bicycle! You will cross the strait on a boat that you have crossed on foot! If it is sunny, you will have an enjoyable cruise!
