Along the narrow, gently ascending road, 2.75 meters wide and unchanged since the Edo period, there are various stores selling famous shirasu rice bowls and seafood, Enoshima’s specialty, tako senbei (octopus crackers), manju (sweet buns), souvenir stores, and inns, always crowded with many tourists.

Enoshima Shrine is located on Enoshima Island and is known for its long history and beautiful scenery.
It was founded by Minamoto no Yoritomo in the Kamakura period (1185-1333) and is surrounded by the sea.
There are various shrines and buildings within the precincts of the shrine, and the red torii gate is particularly impressive.
Enoshima Shrine is also an important place to pray for safety at sea and good catches of fish, and attracts many worshippers.

Samuel Cocking Garden and Sea Candle Observation Deck at Enoshima are charming spots where nature and art merge. At Samuel Cocking Garden, seasonal flowers are in full bloom, and the herb garden is especially fragrant and soothing.
