What to Expect When Visiting Izumisano, Osaka Prefecture, Japan

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Osaka

Pass By: Osaka, Osaka, Osaka Prefecture, Kinki
Upon arrival at Osaka Kansai International Airport, a representative of Japan Holiday will greet you with a welcome sign and assist you to take a shuttle bus to the hotel (hours of shuttle operation 11:00-21:00). Please provide the accurate flight information for airport transfer service to the hotel (bus or train fee included). Meet at the South Arrival Gate in Terminal 1. If you arrive outside of the shuttle operation hours, please arrange your own transportation to the hotel (at your own expense). Check-in to the hotel after 3:00 pm with your passport.

Day 2: Osaka – Kyoto

Stop At: Kuromon Market, 2-4-1, Nippombashi, Chuo, Osaka 542-0073 Osaka Prefecture
After breakfast, visit the famous Black Gate Market (Kuromon Ichiba Market), where you may try a variety of fish products and sushi on your own.

Stop At: Osaka Castle Park, 1 Osakajo, Chuo, Osaka 540-0002 Osaka Prefecture
Afterward, we will head to the iconic landmark of Osaka – Osaka Castle Park (admission to the castle not included). We will then take a bullet train (Shinkansen) to Kyoto.

Stop At: Kiyomizu-dera Temple, 1-294 Kiyomizu, Higashiyama-ku, Kyoto 605-0862 Kyoto Prefecture
In the afternoon, we will visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site – Kiyomizu-dera, the oldest temple in Kyoto. Then, take a stroll through Nineizaka and Sanneizaka, the traditional alleys in the ancient time.

Stop At: Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine, 68 Fukakusa Yabunouchicho, Fushimi-ku, Kyoto 612-0882 Kyoto Prefecture
Continue to the Fushimi Inari Taisha, where the Inari Okami (a divine being responsible for agricultural prosperity) is honored. The thousands of the red torii gates in the back of the shrine is a famous icon in Kyoto. You will arrange your own plans for dinner tonight.

Day 3: Kyoto Sightseeing

Stop At: Arashiyama, Ukyo-ku, Kyoto 616-0007 Kyoto Prefecture
After breakfast, a morning visit to Arashiyama, a pleasant, touristy district in the western outskirts of Kyoto. Take the Sagano Romantic Train, to enjoy the views of the Togetsu-kyo Bridge and the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest.

Stop At: Nijo Castle, 541 Nijo-jo-cho, Horikawa-nishi-iru, Nijo-jo-dori, Nakagyo-Ku, Kyoto 604-8301 Kyoto Prefecture
Next, we will visit Nijo Castle, a UNESCO destination constructed during the Edo period. With scenic beauty offered every season, the castle witnessed the rise and fall of the Tokugawa family and many major historical changes in the country.

We will proceed to Gion, where traditional streets and constructions from ancient are well preserved.

Moving on to Yasaka Shrine, we will see one of the most influential shrines in Kyoto. You will have a chance to walk on the famous Hanamikoji Dori, an upscale geisha district since the Edo period. You will arrange your own plans for dinner tonight.

Day 4: Kyoto – Hakone

Stop At: Shizuoka, Shizuoka, Shizuoka Prefecture, Tokai, Chubu
After breakfast, we will head towards Hakone. On the way, we will visit a jewelry store and a Shizuoka tea garden, to learn about the tea culture in Japan. Tonight, we will dine at the local delicacies of the traditional multi-course Japanese dinner/buffet. Then you can enjoy all the facilities of the hotel and the varieties of hot springs spa.

Day 5: Hakone -Tokyo

Stop At: Lake Ashinoko, Hakone, Hakone-machi, Ashigarashimo-gun 250-0521 Kanagawa Prefecture
After breakfast, we will take the Hakone Pirate Ship on Lake Ashi. Located near Mt.Fuji, Lake Ashi offers one of the most impressive natural landscapes with the mountain reflecting on its clear water.

Stop At: Mt. Fuji 5th Station, Narusawa-mura, Minamitsuru-gun 401-0320 Yamanashi Prefecture
Next, drive to the foothills of Fuji Mountain. Enjoy the scenic landscape at Mt. Fuji 5th Station. If the weather is unpleasant, we will visit Mount Fuji World Heritage Center instead.

Stop At: Oshino Hakkai, 151 Shibokusa, Oshino-mura, Minamitsuru-gun 401-0511 Yamanashi Prefecture
We will then visit Oshino Hakkai. In the village, you will see the tranquil ponds connected with bridges. Surrounded by traditional houses, waterwheels, and Mount Fuji, you may find yourself back to the ancient time as leisurely walking on the paths.

Stop At: Tokyo Tower, 4-chome 2-8, Shibakoen, Minato 105-0011 Tokyo Prefecture
We will continue to Tokyo and visit Tokyo Tower (admission to the tower not included).

Before concluding the day, we will head to Shibuya, one of the busiest and popular business districts in Tokyo. You will arrange your own plans for dinner tonight.

Day 6: Tokyo Sightseeing

Stop At: Imperial Palace, 1-1 Chiyoda, Chiyoda 100-8111 Tokyo Prefecture
After breakfast, we will go to the Imperial Palace. Surrounded by a beautiful moat and gardens, the Imperial Palace is the residence of the royal family of Tokyo. You will see the symbol of the palace – Nijubashi Bridge (which means the double bridge).

Stop At: Senso-ji Temple, 2-3-1, Asakusa, Taito 111-0032 Tokyo Prefecture
After, we will proceed to the oldest temple in Tokyo, the Senso-ji Buddhist Temple in the historic Asakusa district. Nakamise-Dori Street is the main approach to this ancient temple, and all along the road are traditional shop fronts for souvenir items and snacks.

We will then visit Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden, a tranquil and relaxing garden found in the robust urban city.

Next, we will go to the Ginza Tokyu Plaza, a well-known paradise for food and shopping. You will arrange your own plans for dinner tonight.

Day 7: Tokyo – Home City(Service end)

After breakfast, our travel guide will assist you with taking the Limousine airport bus to Tokyo Narita International Airport (bus fee at your own expense), where you will depart on your flight back home as you conclude your marvelous journey through Japan.
