The temple is founded about 300 years ago. The main Buddha is called “Kinseki jizo” which provide the protecion for children and pregnancy. “Kinseki- jizo” has old story about old couple wish for baby and gave prayer to Jizo. They got a healthy boy. They are so thankful that they built the temple.
The temple belong to Soto-syu sect.
In Miyajima all the temple is somewhat belong to Itukushima shirine so you can see some things that should belong to Shinto shrine.
