Miyajima’s symbolic shrine stands in the middle of the sea and the floating torii gate is magnificent. The beautiful view from the red shrine is a masterpiece.
You will feel an undescribable wind once you enter the shrine. Let’s experience the gorgeous view of the ocean and the red shrine, which is registered as a World Cultural Heritage site♪

Stop At: Itsukushima Floating Torii Gate (Temporarily Under Construction), 1-1 Miyajimachō, Hatsukaichi, Hiroshima 739-0588, Japan

・ Otorii: It is a powerful Otorii towering above the sea. The contrast between the blue sea, blue sky, and vermilion is the beauty of the highlight. The highlight is where you can see a completely different appearance at low tide and high tide. You never know which torii you can see until the day!

A museum that displays various cultural properties related to Miyajima’s history and culture, including Kiyomori Taira who built Itsukushima Shrine. The buildings and gardens which are registered as a national tangible cultural property are also worth seeing.

Miyajima’s oldest temple built more than 1200 years ago. Recently, it is a popular spot for visitors from abroad because of the divine favor found only in Miyajima! The autumn leaves are also beautiful if you decide to visit in Fall.

・KAKIWAI: Let’s take a short break in the middle of the tour at this cafe where you can eat Miyajima’s famous oysters.
KAKIWAI is known for having the best view in Miyajima, as such, you can enjoy looking over the blue Seto Inland Sea.
