Fujikawaguchiko Trip Overview
This tour takes you to the most scenic spots in the Mt Fuji and Fuji Five Lakes regions. On the first day of the tour, experience the thrill of biking down Fuji’s slopes, stopping along the way at high-elevation vista points with panoramic views. Pedal around two of the lakes in the mountain’s foothills with breathtaking countryside landscapes. Then visit a historic shrine and lush flower gardens that foreground Fuji.
Spend the second day of the tour cycling around the smaller and more remote three of the Fuji Five Lakes. Explore a well-preserved ancient village where artisans produce elaborate hand-made crafts in traditional Japanese thatched-roof houses. Travel off the beaten path on lovely country roads relatively few tourists see. Then coast down long, gentle hills through Fuji’s western highlands, past evergreen forests and picturesque farms, to a magnficent waterfall.

Day 1: Mt Fuji Descent and Two Lakes
Stop At: Mt. Fuji Subaru Line 5th Station, Narusawa-mura, Minamitsuru-gun Yamanashi Prefecture
Ride in our support car to the highest point on Mt Fuji’s slopes at which cycling is allowed and then take a thrilling bike ride all the way down the mountain, stopping along the way at high-elevation vista points with panoramic views.

Our support car brings you to a high-elevation lake where you’ll bike on dedicated cycling paths and boardwalks from which swans can be seen floating close to shore. Conditions on the lake frequently create the opportunity to see Mt Fuji towering over its reflection in the water, forming an exceptionally photogenic “double Fuji” image.

Day 2: Three Lakes and Western Fuji Highlands

Cycle around a peaceful lake that is truly off the beaten path. Bike past plum and cherry trees on the waterfront, enjoying flower viewing in spring. Stop at a beach with an excellent view of Mt Fuji rising up over crystal-clear lake waters. Cycle past maple trees, viewing colorful leaves in fall.
