Itinerary

Beginners do not need to worry, as the trained staff can offer advice in choosing shapes, sizes, and glaze colors for your work as well as guidance in using the potter’s wheel. Staff will also take pictures of the experience for you to keep and share after you are done.

In the end, the craftsmen carefully finish up your work by hand to prepare for firing. “Kiyomizu-yaki,” the traditional craft of pottery-making for which Kyoto is famous, is known for its high quality and excellent design. The process of firing the pottery is essential to maintaining this quality, so it takes one and a half to two months for your work to be delivered to you. Appreciating the warmth and effort behind the handiwork, we hope you will use your creation for a long time!
